Kwara Police Arrest Two Cultists, Recover Firearm

The Kwara State Police Command arrested two suspected cult members, Abdullahi Jimoh Omotoho, 33, and Abdullahi Kareem Kawu, known as B Red, during an intelligence-led operation aimed at dismantling criminal networks in Ilorin. The arrests followed credible intelligence and sustained surveillance operations.

A local fabric Beretta pistol was recovered from Omotoho, who is identified as a member of the notorious Klan Avea cult group operating within the Ilorin metropolis. The police stated that the operation marks a significant breakthrough in their ongoing campaign against cultism and violent crime in Kwara State.

The Commissioner of Police, Ojo Adekimi, commended the professionalism and dedication of the officers involved. The suspects remain in police custody to assist with ongoing investigations and will be charged in court upon completion of the investigations.
