Police Arrest Two Suspected Kidnappers in Ondo State

The Ondo State Police Command has arrested two suspected members of a kidnapping syndicate, Adamu Rabiu and Haruna Likita, linked to the abduction of Abubakar Abdullahim at Molege, near Owo, on August 1, 2026. The arrests were made amid rising security concerns regarding kidnapping activities in the Owo area.

The police stated they are intensifying intelligence-led operations to dismantle criminal networks. The arrests followed sustained intelligence gathering and coordinated efforts by the command’s Anti-Kidnapping Squad based in Akure.

Acting on credible intelligence, police operatives traveled to Oyo State, where they collaborated with the Oyo State Police Command to apprehend Adamu Rabiu in Ibadan. The police have expressed their commitment to addressing the kidnapping issue affecting local communities.
