Woman Arrested for Child Pornography in Anambra State

On September 10, 2026, the Anambra State Police Command arrested 36-year-old Anulika Onyeanusia in Onitsha for her alleged involvement in child pornography, following the circulation of a disturbing video showing her using sex toys on a minor. During the operation, police rescued four children aged two, three, six, and nine years and recovered sex toys and other items pertinent to the investigation.

SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the spokesperson for the Anambra State Police, confirmed that the suspect is currently in custody as investigations continue, including interrogating her husband for potential involvement. Commissioner of Police Nnanna Oji expressed deep concern over the incident, emphasizing the need for a thorough investigation and the protection of the rescued children.

The police will collaborate with child-protection agencies to ensure the children's safety and well-being, maintaining their privacy throughout the process. The police also acknowledged the contributions of local vigilante operatives and residents in providing information that led to the arrest.
