NPF Initiates Disciplinary Action Against 167 Senior Officers

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has commenced disciplinary proceedings against 167 senior officers due to allegations of misconduct and breaches of professional standards. The disciplinary actions are being handled by the Disciplinary Committee at the force headquarters in Abuja.

This committee is mandated to thoroughly examine the pending cases involving officers ranked Assistant Superintendent of Police and above. According to the force spokesman, the initiative reflects the NPF's commitment to accountability and professionalism.

Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu emphasized that officers found guilty will face due process. This move is part of ongoing reforms aimed at strengthening internal control mechanisms and restoring public confidence in the police.
