Police Dismantle Bandit Camps in Kaduna State Operation

On August 29, 2026, at approximately 0800hrs, the Kaduna State Police Command, in collaboration with the Kaduna State Vigilance Service, Makarfi, conducted a clearance operation in Makarfi Local Government Area, Kaduna State. This operation was initiated based on credible intelligence from community members, leading to the identification and dismantling of two structures used as hideouts by bandits for holding abducted victims.

The locations targeted were Rugar Mijin Goggo and Unguwar Maryamu in Danguzuri, near the boundary with Kano State. Following the operation, joint security patrols continued in the area, restoring normalcy and ensuring calm among residents.

Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Muhammad, commended community cooperation and the operatives' efforts, reaffirming the command's commitment to combatting banditry and other criminal activities. The police urged the public to provide timely and credible information to support ongoing operations.
