Police Rescue Three Kidnap Victims in Kaduna Operation

On Thursday, three kidnapped victims regained their freedom in Makarfi Local Government Area, Kaduna State, after a police operation dislodged a suspected bandits’ hideout. The victims were identified as Alhaji Hamza Gimi and two others.

Police Public Relations Officer Mansir Hassan stated that the operation was initiated based on credible intelligence regarding suspicious activities in the area. Commissioner of Police Rabiu Muhammad directed the Divisional Police Officer of Makarfi Division to lead a patrol team, collaborating with local vigilantes.

Upon arrival, the security team encountered gunfire from the suspected kidnappers, resulting in a fierce gun duel that forced the assailants to flee into nearby bushes, some sustaining injuries. A subsequent search of a house belonging to Yakubu Sule revealed it had been used as a hideout for the kidnapped victims.

The victims were rescued unharmed and reunited with their families, while a Boxer motorcycle believed to be used by the kidnappers was recovered. Efforts to apprehend the fleeing suspects are ongoing.
