Kaduna Police Neutralize Kidnappers, Recover Stolen Goods

The Kaduna State Police Command reported significant achievements in combating crime, announcing the neutralization of notorious kidnappers and the arrest of 16 suspected kidnappers and three suspected gunrunners during operations conducted over the last two weeks. The police recovered 190 stolen solar inverters valued at ₦69 million, 10 lithium batteries worth approximately ₦9 million, 10 firearms of different calibers, 170 counterfeit US dollar notes, 83 packs of hard drugs, 32 stolen mobile phones, two plasma television sets, a stolen Toyota Sienna vehicle, and over 400 rustled cattle.

Commissioner of Police Rabiu Muhammad stated that these operations reflect the command's commitment to dismantling criminal networks. A breakthrough occurred with the arrest of 20-year-old Aisha Barau, who was attempting to exchange counterfeit US dollars, leading to further arrests of her accomplices.

Additionally, three suspected gunrunners were apprehended in Jos, Plateau State, while another suspect, Abdullahi Mohammed, was arrested in Kano State for masterminding kidnapping operations.
