Bauchi Police Rescue Two Kidnap Victims in Operation

On July 1, 2026, the Bauchi State Police Command successfully rescued two kidnap victims during a joint security operation in Gwamnar Forest, located in the Ningi Local Government Area. The operation was directed by Commissioner of Police Sani Omolori Aliyu and involved a combined team from the Violent Crime Response Unit and the Anti-Kidnap Unit, alongside forestry guards.

The operation was launched in response to persistent kidnapping incidents affecting the Dogon Ruwa and Rafin Chiyawa villages. The victims, identified as Alhaji Yahaya, a 50-year-old male from Masallachi Hamlet in Dogon Ruwa Village, and Alhaji Kabiru, were successfully rescued without any casualties reported.

Police spokesperson Nafiu Abubakar confirmed the operation's success and commended the bravery displayed by the joint security team, assuring the community of ongoing efforts to eliminate criminal elements in the area.
