Bauchi Police Rescue Two Kidnapping Victims in Operation

On July 1, 2026, at 10:00 hours, the Bauchi State Police Command successfully rescued two kidnapping victims during a joint security operation in Gwamnar Forest, located in Ningi Local Government Area. The operation was carried out by a combined team from the Violent Crime Response Unit and the Anti-Kidnap Unit, following directives from Commissioner Sani Omolori Aliyu.

The operation was initiated in response to persistent kidnapping incidents affecting the Dogon Ruwa and Rafin Chiyawa villages. The victims, identified as Alhaji Yahaya, a 50-year-old male from Masallachi Hamlet in Dogon Ruwa Village, and Alhaji Kabiru, were rescued without any casualties reported.

Police spokesperson Nafiu Abubakar confirmed the successful operation and commended the bravery and professionalism displayed by the joint security team, assuring residents of the commitment to eliminate criminal elements in the area.
