Police Investigate Armed Raid on Ogbomoso Immigration Office

On June 2, 2026, at approximately 8:45 PM, armed hoodlums invaded the Nigeria Immigration Service passport office located in Ogbomoso, Oyo State. The assailants, reportedly five in number, overpowered the officers on duty and stole firearms, including a G3 rifle, as well as personal items such as mobile phones.

The Oyo State Police Command, led by CSP Olayinka Ayanlade, initiated a comprehensive investigation following the incident. The police received a distress report and quickly deployed a surveillance team to the scene.

Injured officers received medical attention and are in stable condition. CP Olugbemiga Abimbola has directed the deployment of all available resources to track down the suspects and recover stolen items.
