Delta Police Impound 21 Vehicles for Traffic Violations

On July 21, 2026, at approximately 3:00 p.m., operatives of the Delta State Police Command conducted an intelligence-led enforcement operation in the communities of Abraka and Ozoro, resulting in the impounding of 21 vehicles for various traffic violations. The operation was led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of Operations, and aimed to enforce traffic regulations, enhance public safety, and prevent the use of vehicles with improper documentation for criminal activities.

Superintendent of Police Bright Edafe, the Police Public Relations Officer for Delta State, disclosed these details in a statement made available to journalists in Warri. The offences for which the vehicles were impounded included non-display of registration number plates, covered number plates, and expired vehicle particulars.

The affected vehicles will undergo the necessary legal and administrative processes following the enforcement exercise.
