Lagos Police Investigate DPO Over Alleged Power Abuse in Mushin

The Lagos State Police Command is investigating a Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Mushin, CSP Ayanwal Ayodeji, for alleged abuse of power. The investigation was launched after a viral social media post by a user named Akin Akinwal, who accused the DPO of intimidation and abuse of authority.

The incident stemmed from a minor car accident where the DPO allegedly threatened to send a man to jail despite the man's immediate offer to repair the damage. The Police Complaint Response Unit is providing updates on the case, with the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi, confirming the ongoing investigation.
