Police and JAMB Crack Down on UTME Malpractice in Warri

The Nigerian Police Force, through a coordinated operation, arrested three suspects connected to a Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) malpractice syndicate in Warri. The operation was based on credible intelligence and digital forensics, revealing attempts to compromise examination integrity via unauthorized remote access to examination systems.

DCP Anthony Placid addressed the media during a parade in Abuja, confirming that the investigation led to the arrest of four suspects, with ongoing inquiries uncovering additional examination centers involved in similar illegal activities. Consequently, JAMB has taken administrative measures, including the withdrawal of results from affected centers pending the conclusion of the investigation.
