Kaduna Police Recover Weapons, Vehicles, and Counterfeit Cash

The Kaduna State Police Command conducted operations that led to the recovery of one pump-action rifle, nine fabricated firearms, two stolen vehicles, and 332 pieces of suspected counterfeit $100 notes. The operations were initiated following intelligence received on August 31, 2026, regarding armed bandits disturbing farmers in the Kidandan area of Giwa Local Government Area.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, reported that the bandits fled after engaging with security personnel, abandoning their weapons and a motorcycle. Additionally, three suspects—Hashiru Ibrahim, Mohammed Ibrahim, and Umar Hassan—were arrested on September 2 while attempting to sell a stolen black GMK Jeep valued at N70 million for N4 million.

The vehicle was stolen from Abeokuta, Ogun State. In another operation, a white Toyota Hilux, stolen from Agadez, Niger Republic, was recovered, and Abubakar Abdullahi was arrested in connection with it.

Kabir Yusuf was also apprehended for possessing counterfeit currency, leading to the recovery of 332 counterfeit $100 notes and six counterfeit N1,000 notes.
