Ogun Police Arrest Man for Fake Kidnapping Video

Johnson Elleh was arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for producing a misleading video that falsely portrayed a kidnapping incident along the Owod Idiroko Axis. The police spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, disclosed that the command received the viral video and initiated an investigation to verify its claims.

The investigation revealed that the video was fabricated and designed to create fear and panic among the public. Further inquiries led to Elleh's identification and arrest, with preliminary findings indicating that he intended to generate online engagement through the misleading content.

The police condemned the deliberate spread of false information, emphasizing that such actions could disrupt public order and undermine security. Elleh reportedly confessed to his intentions, and he will face charges in court upon the conclusion of the investigation.

The command has issued a warning against the creation and dissemination of unverifiable security-related information, stressing that it poses a threat to public peace and security.
