Security Enhanced for First Lady Tinubu's Anambra Visit

The Anambra State Police Command and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps have begun a comprehensive security and safety assessment across strategic locations in Anambra in preparation for the visit of Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, along with other dignitaries. This initiative was announced in separate press statements on Monday by SP Tochukwu Ikenga of the Anambra State Police Command and Edwin Okadigbo from the NSCDC.

The assessment aims to identify vulnerabilities, validate security arrangements, and enhance operational readiness at key venues and access routes. CP Nnanna Ama has instructed all Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers to conduct thorough assessments and address any security gaps.

The Commissioner emphasized the importance of conducting operations within the law while respecting human rights. He urged the public to cooperate with security personnel and report any suspicious activities.

The Command is committed to maintaining a heightened security posture throughout the visit.
