Police Investigate Death of Mobile Phone Repairer in Bayelsa

Simpli Felix, a 40-year-old mobile phone repairer from Cross River State, was discovered dead in a guest house located along Azikoro Road in the Ekeki area of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. His body was found on Thursday morning after a cleaner raised the alarm when he noticed that an unidentified woman had left the room.

Eyewitnesses reported that sachets of alcohol were found on the bedside table. The Bayelsa State Police Command has initiated a preliminary investigation into the incident.

The police have taken the guest house owner and the cleaner into custody to assist with the investigation. Felix's younger brother, Denni, was briefly detained after being found with Felix's mobile phone but was later released.

The police spokesperson, DSP Musa Mohammed, confirmed that investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of death, and no official findings, including autopsy results, have been released yet.
