Delta Police Arrest Cable Vandals in Delta State

On June 25, 2026, the Delta State Police Command, under the leadership of Public Relations Officer Bright Edaf, announced the arrest of two suspects involved in the vandalism of electric cables in the Ndokwa West Local Government Area. The suspects, identified as Osakw Sundai, 28 years old, and Eken Obocha, 34 years old, were apprehended after police received credible intelligence and mobilized to the scene along Ibabu Ugiliamai Road.

Upon sighting the police, the suspects attempted to evade arrest, resulting in injuries to one of them, who is currently receiving treatment in a hospital while in police custody. The operation led to the recovery of stolen electric cables.

Delta State Commissioner of Police Yemi Oyeniyi warned criminal elements to desist from vandalizing critical government infrastructure and assured the public that the command would continue its efforts to identify, arrest, and prosecute offenders.
