Police Rescue Abducted Boy, Arrest Four Suspects in Gombe

The Gombe State Police Command successfully rescued an eight-year-old boy who had been abducted in the Akko Local Government Area. The boy's father, Muhammadu Nabadara, reported his son missing on June 28 after he failed to return home on June 27.

Following the report, the police initiated an investigation. On June 29, the family received a false telephone call regarding the child's whereabouts.

A breakthrough occurred on June 30 when police intelligence led to the arrest of the first suspect, Abdullahi Moham, in Kumo. During interrogation, Abdullahi confessed to conspiring with three others: Moham Magaji (35), Sale Sale (23), and Walida Ya U (18).

The police arrested the three additional suspects, and the boy was found in their custody, successfully rescued unharmed and reunited with his family. The suspects are expected to be charged in court upon the conclusion of the investigation.

The Commissioner of Police in Gombe State, CP Umar Chuso, praised the operation's success and urged residents to remain vigilant.
