Police Rescue Kidnap Victim, Arrest 11 Robbery Suspects

The Nasarawa State Police Command announced the successful rescue of Favour Innocent, a female victim kidnapped from Ajyga Village on August 3, 2026, at approximately 2100hrs. She was rescued on August 4, 2026, at around 0800hrs in the Nunku Forest Area of Akwanga Local Government Area, thanks to the collaboration of police, local hunters, and community youths.

Following her rescue, she received medical attention at the Primary Health Centre in Andaha and was later reunited with her family. Additionally, on September 4, 2026, at about 0200hrs, police responded to a robbery at a guest house in Area One, Masaka, where lodgers were robbed.

A police patrol team was deployed, leading to the arrest of 11 suspects, including nine adults and two minors. The adult suspects were identified by name and age, and various weapons and stolen items were recovered.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, directed further investigations and the transfer of adult suspects for prosecution.
