Police and University Collaborate on Security Initiatives

The Kano Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, and the Vice Chancellor of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Professor Abdurrashid Garba, are collaborating to enhance security and community engagement. During a meeting at the Bompai Police Command, they discussed strengthening security arrangements for the university community through regular patrols and intelligence collaboration.

They also agreed to promote capacity building by encouraging police personnel to enroll in academic programs at Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University. Both leaders emphasized the importance of public enlightenment initiatives on crime prevention, drug abuse, and cybercrime.

CP Bakori appreciated the visit, calling it timely and strategic, while Professor Garba acknowledged the police's critical support for the university's operations. He expressed optimism about the partnership's growth and invited police officers to participate in the university's academic programs.

CP Bakori praised the university for upholding the ideals of its founding father, Sheikh Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu, and highlighted the need to address the erosion of moral values in society.
