New CP Ajo Ordue Urges Youths to Promote Peace

Ajo Geoffrey Ordue, the new Commissioner of Police in Cross River State, has called upon Nigerian youths who are social media influencers to utilize their platforms to promote peace and foster a safer society. This appeal was made in a statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Eitokpah Sunday Akata.

Ordue invited the youth to participate in a walk around major streets in Calabar, starting from the Police Headquarters at Diamond Hill, to enhance police-youth collaboration and community policing. The event is scheduled for the morning and aims to encourage unity and healthy interactions.

Ordue emphasized the importance of channeling energy and creativity towards constructive endeavors that support peace and development. He reiterated his commitment to building a productive relationship with young people, highlighting the significance of meaningful youth engagement in crime prevention and countering political and digital thuggery.

This initiative is also part of the global commemoration of International Youth Day 2026.
