Poly Idah Appeals to TETFund for Security and Infrastructure

Usman, the Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Idah, has made an appeal to the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) for urgent intervention regarding critical infrastructure and security needs at the institution. This appeal was made during the visit of a TETFund Board of Trustees member representing the North Central Zonal Region, alongside the TETFund Zonal Coordinator and officials.

Usman highlighted perimeter fencing as the most pressing challenge, citing the campus's vulnerability to security threats due to its porous nature. He called for a comprehensive fencing project to protect lives and property.

Additionally, Usman requested TETFund's support for the construction and rehabilitation of internal roads and the establishment of a solar farm to provide reliable electricity. He also urged for special intervention to complete two abandoned lecture theatre projects to address the shortage of lecture spaces.

Usman congratulated the visiting TETFund member on his appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressing confidence in his contributions to tertiary education development in Nigeria.
