Zambian Model Lisa Mutambo Dies After Night Out

Lisa Mutambo, a 25-year-old Zambian model and socialite, died under mysterious circumstances following a night out with friends in Lusaka. According to the Zambia Police Service, officers at Chelstone Police Station received a report of her sudden death on Thursday, 20 August 2026, around 9:30 am.

Mutambo reportedly spent the evening of 19 August with two female companions at a hotel where she worked as a brand ambassador. After leaving the hotel around 10:30 pm, they visited another drinking spot.

Her boyfriend arrived between 2:30 am and 3:00 am to collect the women, dropping off her friends before taking Mutambo to her residence in the Kalundu neighborhood. Shortly after arriving home, she began vomiting and lost consciousness.

Despite being rushed to Victoria Hospital, she was pronounced dead. The police noted no visible injuries on her body and are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death, which has led to speculation on social media regarding potential foul play.
