APM Terminals Nigeria Grants Scholarships to 50 Students

APM Terminals Nigeria awarded scholarships to 50 undergraduate students from its host community in Lagos during the third edition of its scholarship programme held in Apapa. This initiative, part of the company's corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, has now benefited a total of 151 students.

The scholarships are aimed at students in public universities and accredited higher institutions across Nigeria. Koen De Backker, CEO of APM Terminals Nigeria, emphasized the importance of investing in education to develop future leaders.

He encouraged beneficiaries to focus on their studies and personal development. Kamal Alhraishat, Terminal Managing Director, stated that the scholarship programme reflects the company's belief in investing in people for sustainable community development.

Uzoma Ben-Ude, Head of People Function, noted that the scholarship provides ongoing support until graduation, contingent upon academic performance, and includes internship opportunities within the company to further assist students.
