Poultry Association Hosts Eastern Nigeria Summit 2026

The Poultry Association of Nigeria (PAN) held the Eastern Nigeria Poultry Summit 2026 in Enugu from September 9 to September 10, 2026, at the Amadeo event center. The summit, themed "From Farm to Market," aimed to identify and address challenges facing the poultry industry, including high feed costs, weak cold-chain logistics, and limited access to finance.

Sir Izuolisa Onu, the National Vice President of PAN and chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, emphasized the importance of the poultry sector for food security and economic growth in Nigeria. He encouraged participants to engage in discussions to develop actionable solutions.

Dr. Cliff Ogbede, Executive Director of Natural Resources, Agriculture and Rural Development at the South East Development Commission, expressed the Commission's commitment to revitalizing agricultural production in the South East, reminiscent of the economic growth during the era of Michael Okpara. The summit aims to produce measurable impacts rather than just a communique.
