FG Launches Free Power Sector Training for Youths

The Federal Government of Nigeria has unveiled a significant initiative aimed at empowering 4,000 young Nigerians through a training program in the power sector. This program, managed by the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN) and the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA), will provide intensive technical training and official certification.

The initiative seeks to create a qualified workforce capable of deploying prepaid meters across the country, thereby transforming Nigeria's power distribution network. Eligible applicants must be Nigerian citizens aged 18 to 35, holding a minimum of a Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE).

The program will offer a monthly allowance of ₦100,000 throughout the training period, and successful candidates will receive a prestigious professional certification, ensuring automatic employment upon completion. The application portal officially opens on July 5, 2026, and due to the attractive benefits, interested youths are encouraged to apply immediately.
