Peter Obi Calls for Prayers to End Political Corruption

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), addressed congregants at Koinonia Global and Eternity Network International, where he was invited by Apostle Joshua Selman. During the Sunday worship session, Obi stated that the problems plaguing Nigeria are due to politicians rather than the country itself.

He urged the congregation to pray for politicians to cease stealing, asserting, “Politicians are the problem of the country. There is nothing wrong with the country, but the politicians are the issue.” Obi emphasized that all politicians share the blame and encouraged Nigerians to refrain from labeling any politician as good or bad.

He reflected on the progress of other nations that began alongside Nigeria, recommending the book “Growing Apart” to illustrate how other countries have flourished. Obi concluded by stressing the need for politicians to stop embezzling public funds, stating that if the right actions are taken, Nigeria's situation will improve.
