OSSAP-TVEE Launches Skills Training for 200 Youths in Oyo

The Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Technical, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Education (OSSAP-TVEE) is expanding its skills training initiative to Oyo State, aiming to train 200 youths as part of the National Poverty Reduction with Growth Strategy (NPRGS). This initiative, which is part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, is set to commence on September 28, 2026, and will last for two weeks, with daily sessions from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Dr. Abiola Arogundade, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on OSSAP-TVEE, stated that the program aims to equip participants with practical skills to improve their economic opportunities. Following a successful pilot program in Abuja that began on June 30, 2025, which attracted over 7,000 applications, the Federal Government is now extending this initiative across the six geopolitical zones.

Participants in Oyo will receive specialized training kits, including laptops for graphics and AI trainees, makeup kits for makeup training, sewing machines for fashion design, and fermentation kits for agriculture training.
