Adebutu Advocates Youth Investment to Combat Unemployment

Ladi Adebutu, the 2027 Ogun State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, advocated for increased investment in vocational training, entrepreneurship, and affordable financing for young Nigerians to address unemployment and stimulate economic growth. Speaking at the 5th Agbaletu Progressive Movement anniversary on Tuesday at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta, Adebutu highlighted that about 100 young people were empowered through vocational training and educational support during the event.

He stressed the necessity for government, individuals, and philanthropic organizations to provide practical skills, mentorship, and access to capital for young people. Adebutu stated that affordable capital is crucial for young entrepreneurs and small business owners to establish and sustain their businesses.

He emphasized that creating an environment conducive to business growth is essential for economic development and job creation. Mrs. Adenike Adebutu, the Life Matron of the Agbaletu Progressive Movement, urged parents to encourage their children to acquire vocational skills alongside formal education, arguing that practical skills are vital for self-reliance in the current economic climate.
