Adeboye Leads Peace March to Support IDPs in Abuja

On a significant day in Abuja, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Grassroot Sports Development, Adeyinka Anthoni Adeboye, spearheaded a peace march aimed at supporting internally displaced persons (IDPs). The event, which commenced at the Unity Fountain and drew participation from thousands across various sectors, was part of a broader initiative to promote national cohesion through sports.

Key stakeholders in attendance included the Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Mallam Shehu Dikko, President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee, Engr. Habu Ahmed Gumel, and General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation, Dr.

Mohammed Sanusi. The outreach involved engaging in energetic aerobics sessions and delivering relief materials and cash support to families at the IDP camp in Apo.

Adeboye commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his support of grassroots sports, emphasizing that the initiative aims to restore hope and uplift lives, showcasing sports as a tool for unity and national development.
