Pro-Tinubu Group Backs Odu for Ondo South Senate Seat

The Ondo State chapter of the Renew Hope Youth Alliance has endorsed Princess Catherine Oladunni Odu for the senatorial seat representing the Ondo South district. This endorsement follows the nomination of Jimoh Ibrahim to the United Nations Development, amid ongoing political consultations within the Progress Congress to fill the vacancy left by Ibrahim's departure from the Senate.

Samuel Olopade, the state coordinator of the group, expressed confidence in Odu's candidacy, highlighting her exemplary public service record, particularly in education and women's development. Odu has held several strategic positions, including serving as the first female Secretary to the Ondo State Government and chairing the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board.

The group argues that Odu's wealth of experience makes her an ideal candidate for the Nigerian Senate, especially at a time when advocacy for greater female representation in leadership is gaining momentum. Olopade called on President Bola Tinubu to support Odu's candidacy and urged APC members in Ondo South to rally behind her.
