ADC Calls for Probe into Tinubu's Fitness for Office

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has called on the National Assembly to invoke constitutional provisions to determine whether President Bola Tinubu remains fit to discharge his duties. This request follows allegations that President Tinubu has lost control of the government and has been influenced by unelected interests.

The ADC's statement, issued by Bolaji Abdullahi, highlights ongoing controversies, including leadership disputes within the Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA). The party argues that the president's appointments and removals have occurred without proper consequences, leading to confusion within the administration.

They express concerns that the BCDA's issues are indicative of a broader pattern of confusion in Tinubu's administration. The ADC also points to recent reversals of significant policy decisions, including the suspension of cybersecurity levies and expatriate employment levies, which have faced public opposition.

The party insists that the National Assembly must ensure that the president is capable of fulfilling his constitutional duties.
