Protesters Demand Clarity on ADC's Alleged ₦100m Disbursement

On Thursday, protesters stormed the ADC Secretariat to demand clarification regarding an alleged ₦100 million disbursement connected to the recent Federal Capital Territory elections. The demonstration, led by Amaka Christian, aimed to advocate for transparency in the party's leadership following claims made on national television three weeks prior.

Christian emphasized that the group was not accusing the party but sought the truth about the alleged funds intended to cover election costs. She stated that the group would determine their next course of action based on the ADC's response.

In response, Queen Okiyi, the Deputy National Public Secretary of ADC, called for calm and described the allegations as rumors. She defended the party's commitment to inclusivity and urged members to avoid divisive rhetoric, emphasizing the importance of unity as the party prepares for the 2027 elections.
