Tambuwal Urges Tinubu to Prioritize Security Over Politics

Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, the former governor of Sokoto State and current senator representing Sokoto South, urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to prioritize addressing Nigeria's worsening insecurity rather than engaging in political activities ahead of the 2027 elections. This appeal was made during a condolence visit to victims of recent bandit attacks in Bodinga Local Government Area on Thursday.

Tambuwal announced a donation of 20 million naira to support families displaced by the attacks in Bodinga and Tureta Local Government Areas. He expressed deep concern over the recurring attacks in Sokoto State and across the country, emphasizing the constitutional duty of the government to protect lives and property.

Tambuwal called on Tinubu to redirect the administration's focus towards restoring peace and security, advocating for the establishment of state police and stronger security measures to combat the ongoing insecurity affecting communities in Sokoto and nationwide.
