INEC Clarifies: Only FCT Residents Eligible for Ongoing PVC Collection Exercise

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has clarified that the ongoing Permanent Voter Card (PVC) collection exercise is specifically for residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in preparation for the February 21, 2026, area council elections. The statement emphasized that the PVC collection will take place in various voter registration areas and wards from January 22 to January 26.

INEC urged eligible voters in the FCT to take advantage of the exercise and collect their PVCs within the stipulated period. The Commission also highlighted that the schedule for PVC collection in other states is yet to be determined, and official announcements will be made once finalized.
