Nigerian Children Empowered Through AI and Storytelling

The "Feature Earth AI Creator Program," announced by Yinka Olatunbosun and Adetunwas Adenl, co-founders of Anim Hub, aims to equip Nigerian children with skills in artificial intelligence and environmental storytelling. Launched on June 5, coinciding with World Environment Day, the initiative seeks to engage 5,760 schools across Nigeria, selecting 24 children from each school, totaling 138,000 children aged 8-15.

Participants will learn to use AI-powered animation tools to produce short films that highlight environmental issues such as plastic pollution, flooding, climate change, waste management, and biodiversity conservation. The program is designed to empower children to contribute actively to environmental solutions and to move beyond being mere consumers of technology.

The initiative is a collaboration between Anim Hub and FCMB, with Omoniyi Iyanda, head of Corporate Social Responsibility at FCMB, emphasizing the bank's commitment to youth empowerment and sustainable development. The program will culminate in a nationwide competition with cash prizes and mentorship opportunities for outstanding entries.
