Tech4Dev Empowers 135 Lagos Schoolgirls with AI Skills

Tech4Dev has successfully concluded its AI Inter-District Secondary School Challenge 2026, equipping 135 girls from 27 public secondary schools in Lagos Education Districts II and IV with practical artificial intelligence and problem-solving skills. The Grand Finale featured six finalist teams presenting innovative solutions aimed at enhancing learning accessibility, improving student safety, and addressing bullying.

Mende Junior High School won the challenge with their project, Learning Without Limits, which creates sign language videos from classroom notes. Onike Girls Junior High School and Mende Senior High School secured second and third places, respectively, for their safety application and anonymous reporting platform.
