Cletus Oche Unveils Surreal Art at Thought Pyramid

Cletus Oche's second solo exhibition, titled "Between the Lines," was held at the Thought Pyramid Art Centre in Ikoyi, Lagos, last weekend. The exhibition features 17 new works alongside selected paintings from collectors, inviting viewers to engage deeply with the narratives within each piece.

Oche's artworks, primarily rendered in monochrome, are characterized by thousands of meticulously drawn ink lines, showcasing his technical precision and emotional depth. His artistic journey has evolved from hyperrealism to surrealism, allowing him to explore themes such as resilience, memory, and the subconscious.

Oche, trained as a computer scientist, integrates analytical rigor with creativity in his work. Notable pieces include "Chrysalis," which reflects on transformation.
