Reckless Motorcycle Rider Kills Man at Yobe Wedding

During a wedding in Potiskum, Yobe State, a motorcycle rider killed a young man named Abubakar Haruna. The tragic incident occurred on Friday evening when the rider, described as reckless and aggressive, was part of a convoy escorting the bride.

Eyewitnesses reported that the rider was moving at high speed and performing risky maneuvers, showing little regard for pedestrians. Abubakar's brother, Muhammad Haruna, confirmed that the rider struck Abubakar violently, causing him to lose his balance and fall into a nearby drainage channel.

Muhammad expressed heartbreak over the sudden loss, emphasizing the need for justice and accountability for the rider's actions. He noted that reckless motorcycle riding during celebrations has become common in the area, posing a danger to innocent people.

Muhammad called on Yobe authorities to enforce stricter safety regulations and traffic laws to prevent such incidents in the future. The community expressed sadness over the incident and highlighted the urgent need for awareness and responsible conduct among youth.
