Enitan Appointed Head of Civil Service, Effective 2026

Engineer Abubakar Momoh, the Minister of Regional Development, issued a statement congratulating Mr Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan on his appointment as the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, effective August 27, 2026. Momoh characterized the appointment as well-deserved, highlighting Enitan's distinguished career and over seven years of service as a Federal Permanent Secretary in various key ministries and offices.

He expressed confidence that Enitan's deep understanding of the Federal Civil Service would enable him to consolidate ongoing reforms, enhance professionalism and accountability, and foster a more innovative service aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda. Additionally, Momoh commended the outgoing Head of the Civil Service, Mrs Didi Esther Walson-Jack, for her leadership and dedicated service, wishing her a fulfilling retirement.
