Enitan Sworn in as New Head of Civil Service in Nigeria

Enitan was sworn in as the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF) on August 27, 2026, by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House in Abuja. His appointment followed the retirement of the previous HCSF, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, who reached the statutory retirement age of 60.

Enitan expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for the trust placed in him, viewing his new role as a call to service that he would approach with humility, dedication, and integrity. He acknowledged Walson-Jack's contributions to the Federal Civil Service, highlighting her role in advancing key reforms.

Enitan stated that his administration would build on these reforms and promote the EPIC Culture of Efficiency, Productivity, Incorruptibility, and Citizen-Centredness. He stressed that transforming the Civil Service requires collective commitment from all public servants and urged senior officials to embrace professionalism and accountability.

Enitan committed to collaborating with stakeholders to enhance efficiency and support the Federal Government’s reform objectives and the Renewed Hope Agenda.
