Nigerian House Probes Goodluck Jonathan's $460m Failed CCTV Project

The Nigerian House of Representatives has initiated an investigation into the controversial $460 million Abuja CCTV project started during Goodluck Jonathan's tenure. The project aimed to enhance security in the Federal Capital Territory but remains incomplete after a decade.

Lawmakers, including Amobi Ogah and Billi Osawaru, expressed concerns over the lack of visible impact despite the substantial funds allocated. Ahmad Jaha demanded a full investigation into the project's failures, highlighting previous probes into similar issues.

The investigation follows a court order to disclose the project's expenditure by the Federal High Court Abuja, with civil society group SERAP also involved.
