Reps to Interrogate PFIPC DG Prince Adeyemi in Custody

The House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee, led by Chairman Yusuf Gagdi, is set to question Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, the alleged Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC), at an undisclosed location while he remains in police custody. This decision was made to prevent interference with ongoing investigations by the Nigeria Police Force, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

Gagdi stated that the committee would not insist on a public session due to Adeyemi's current custody under a valid court order. The interaction will occur at an unannounced date and time, with Adeyemi's legal representatives present and under police supervision.

Gagdi emphasized that the committee's main goal is to gather information directly from Adeyemi regarding the PFIPC's alleged operations, ensuring the session is recorded for transparency.
