Ogun Kidnapping Victims Urge Government to Support Police

On Saturday, victims of a kidnapping incident in Ogun State, Mr. Jimoh Gbadamosi and Temiloluwa, urged the federal government to better equip and support the police force. The victims were rescued during a joint security operation, codenamed Operation Kosay, after being abducted around Ogber forest on June 25.

Temiloluwa, who works for a private company in Edo State, detailed the traumatic experience of the abduction, which began with gunshots as their vehicle was ambushed. The kidnappers demanded a ransom of N20 million.

After four hours in the bush, the victims were relieved to encounter police, who successfully rescued them within 24 hours. Gbadamosi expressed disbelief at the swift police response, urging the government to improve police welfare and equipment to enhance security and morale.
