PDP Chairman Urges Tinubu to Review Nigeria's Security

Turaki, the factional chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), called on President Bola Tinubu to undertake a comprehensive review of Nigeria's security framework in light of recent security challenges, particularly following an attack in Oyo State. During a condolence visit to Governor Seyi Makinde in Ibadan, Turaki recognized the governor's proactive measures to enhance the state's security architecture and protect lives and property.

He expressed condolences to the families affected by the recent abduction and killing of a teacher and schoolchildren in Oyo State. Turaki emphasized the urgent need for the APC-led federal government to address the persistent security challenges facing the country, advocating for a complete overhaul of outdated security structures to ensure an effective response to security issues.

He underscored that the safety of citizens, especially children, should remain a national priority.
