Rite Foods Launches N35m Academic Excellence Award

Rite Foods has initiated the N35 million National Academic Excellence Award to honor the highest-performing matriculating students from public universities across Nigeria's six geopolitical zones. The award aims to inspire young Nigerians to excel academically and reinforce the importance of education as a driver of national development.

The maiden edition of the award took place in Lagos, with the Managing Director and CEO of Rite Foods emphasizing the company's commitment to quality and educational support as part of its corporate responsibility. Dr.

Maruf Tunji Alausa, the Minister of Education, and Professor Haq Oloyed, the Registrar and Chief Executive of JAMB, commended the initiative for its potential to improve educational outcomes and address the shortage of key professionals in sectors like healthcare and engineering. Seven beneficiaries were recognized, including students from various universities, with a special mention of a female student overcoming physical challenges.

The initiative marks a significant collaboration between Rite Foods and JAMB to promote merit-based admissions in tertiary education.
