Rite Foods Launches N35m Academic Excellence Award

Rite Foods has initiated the N35 million annual National Academic Excellence Award to honor the highest-performing matriculating students from Nigeria's six geopolitical zones. The award ceremony took place in Lagos, with the Managing Director and CEO of Rite Foods emphasizing the importance of education as a driver of national development.

Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, the Minister of Education, and Dr.

Ismaila Adiatu, a special advisor, commended the initiative as a timely intervention to support government efforts in improving educational outcomes. The partnership with JAMB is noted as vital for building human capital and enhancing access to quality education.

Professor Haq Oloyed, the Registrar and Chief Executive of JAMB, described the partnership as landmark, aligning with JAMB's goal of promoting fair merit in tertiary education placement. Seven award recipients were highlighted, including students from various universities, showcasing inclusivity by recognizing physically challenged female students.
