Rivers Health Agency Urges Good Hygiene and Insurance Enrollment

Dr. Vetti Agala, the secretary of the Rivers State Contributory Health Protection Programme (RIVCHPP), called on residents of Rivers State to take proactive steps to maintain good hygiene.

This appeal was made during a live phone program on 95.5 FM in Port Harcourt. Agala assured that RIVCHPP is committed to addressing the health needs of the community and highlighted the establishment of a health insurance agency aimed at alleviating the financial burdens associated with healthcare services.

He urged community leaders and stakeholders to support the enrollment drive advocating for health insurance coverage within their respective communities. The goal is to enroll at least 1 million residents by the end of 2026.

Agala discussed various enrollment packages available, including options for individuals, families, and vulnerable groups, encouraging residents who have not yet enrolled to take advantage of the program's affordable premium structure and comprehensive health benefits.
