Rotary Club of Akowonjo Welcomes District Governor Bakare

The Rotary Club of Akowonjo is preparing to welcome District 9111 Governor, Rotarian Bukola Bakare, on Monday, August 24, 2026. This official visit aims to highlight the club's commitment to service, leadership, and sustainable community impact.

The visit will facilitate direct engagement between the District Governor and the club's leadership and members, reinforcing their alignment with the vision of Rotary International District 9111 for the 2026–2027 Rotary year, themed “Create Lasting Impact.” Impact President, Rotarian Oladapo Bankole, emphasized that the visit is an opportunity to inspire members and demonstrate the tangible benefits of collective action. The Chairman of the Planning Committee, Rotarian Oyin Sale, announced that Governor Bakare will pay courtesy visits to Hon. Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson, the Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, and HRH Oba Akeeb Adebowale Rauf Abokuwa 1, the Palace of Alaye of Orisunbare.

Additionally, she mentioned that the DG will conduct a ward round at Krown Hospital and meet with Rotarians, sponsors, and partners.
